So its been a while since I've done a k-pop update on some of the songs that I've been loving at the moment

[M/V] Classic [J.Y. Park 박진영, Taecyeon 택연, Wooyoung 우영, Suzy 수지]

So when I first realised that J.Y.Park, Taecyeon and Wooyoung (from 2 pm) and Suzy (from Miss A) was teaming up for a MV, I was like OMG!!!! ... but little did I realise that the MV was about sportswear. First time listening to this song, I didn't know it was sponsored by Reebok. But overall, I still love the MV and music :)

Gain(가인) _ Bloom(피어나) MV

I fell in love when Ga-In partnered up with J.Y.Park's duet 'Someone Else'. After that, I had high anticipation for her when I heard that she was releasing a solo album 'Talk about S'. Without watching the MV, the song was catchy, but after viewing the MV, my view on this song was different. I thought that she was expressing the point that 'having someone makes her happy' but the MV goes a lot deeper into that. 

[M/V] miss A(미쓰에이) "남자 없이 잘 살아"(I don't need a man)

At first I didn't like the song much, but it soon became really catchy. It is a lot different from the other Miss A's songs. 

Ailee(에일리) _ Heaven MV

The first time I heard this song, I instantly fell in love with it. I love the MV and the song. Because Ailee is a new upcoming artist from the US (born in USA, Korean background, her voice is amazing. The first time I saw Ailee was on Dream High 2, I thought she might be another rookie group, but after this song, she released another one called 'I will show", I was mind blown. 

G-DRAGON - CRAYON (크레용) M/V

I will admit it, I am not a huge G-Dragon fan. I like his works and the band 'Big Bang' but I am a Daesung fan. Maybe it was after those 'Family Outing season 1' episodes that I became a Daesung fan. But anyways, G-Dragon's crayon has really grown on me now. It's such a catchy tune :)

It's been such a longgg time since I did a post. Like I said in my previous post, I'm just taking a break from blogging and my dear k-dramas *sobs*

Ok, I will admit. When I said I won't be watching them til my assignments are to a min ... Well I lied.
I will confess, I've been watching a few. And by a few I mean like I starting watch 3 new k-dramas and finishing The last 10 episodes of family outing and finishing the last episodes of Bridal Mask - highly recommended

The 3 new k-dramas are; panda and hedgehog, five fingers and to the beautiful you.I just couldn't resist! K-DRAMA runs my life NOWWW!!!

But I should be back posting new posts very soon ... maybe end of September????.

Oh, I'm also contemplating whether or not to start a youtube channel up. It will be focused on nails designs and like DIY things - cause you all know that I have a creative mind :) So yeah.

B.E.G - Cleansing Cream

They say a picture can say a thousand words and this MV is no exception.

Brown Eyed Girls has yet released an amazing song and a fantastic MV. This time a more of a ballad type song BUT with a clear meaning.

Rather having them [Brown Eyed Girls] appear in this MV; they have placed actors to convey their message instead. And MY GOD! this MV has sooo many hidden messages and storyline to it that you really don't know which storyline is the right on that the director wants to express.

The ballad of this song is also well structured. Even if you don't speak Korean, you can always find the english lyrics to this song and the MV and the lyrics of this song give off the same storyline theme. Unlike some, the MV and the lyrics have no connection.

With this, I can't wait til Brown Eyed Girls release their repackage version to album Sixth Sense.

Wonder Girls (원더걸스) - Be My Baby

A song that I've been listening to quiet frequently is the Wonder Girls - Be My Baby.

BUT I have to say .... does this film clip reminds you of another MV? ... Yes??? ... Beyonce - Single Ladies?

With the whole black leotards and dancing in a lit room while the camera shots follow their moves?

I must say I really like this clip. The choreography really goes with the song and the lyrics to it. From what I know, after their hit with 'Nobody', the Wonder Girls did an American Tour/ training in America, So their english in this song was properly spoken. 

The director of this this MV really made use of the surroundings. With the rotating floor around the 0.09sec mark. Thumbs up for that :):):) and also a BIG Thumbs up for the retro inspired outfits :)

It's all about the k-music

So here's a quick update on the albums which I recently download from K-Pop7 (a free to K-Pop download website). I used to use iHoneyJoo/ iHoneyMe/ iHoneyDew but now days the website wont allow free downloads instead they provide a link to download to YesAsia which you have to pay for the album. Another website I download my music from is nhachot (which is a newly discovered site that I found)

Brown Eyed Girls - Sixth Sense

I really enjoyed listening this album ^__^ . It's a lot different from the other K-pop albums because it has this kind of Jazz feel to some of their songs like Hot Shot, Countdown and Vendetta but also has that dance vibe to it. 

The video clip to Sixth Sense is soooo good :) . Some of the clips relates to a political power and forcing activists to 'shut up'. And I also LOVE the high note scream .. which fits perfectly to the music and also to the rapping part to. 

I would also say their eye make-up is soooo GOOOD!! ... I mean, if you haven't seen their eye make up yet, it is sooo different from all the other/ normal eye make-up you tend to put on yourself. The make-up gives of a struggle feel but also making them look powerful as well. Well done to the make-up artist who took the risk on giving eye make-up another definition. I LOVE IT! I think Brown Eyed Girls have released one of the most female-power albums this year. I would give this album a 9 out of 10.

Kim Hyun Joong - Lucky

BEFORE I begin; if you haven't released I have a small obsession with Kim Hyun Joong ... maybe its because I loved his character on Boys Before Flower? ... anyways, his 2nd mini album 'Lucky' gave me a 007/ James Bond feel. His song 'Lucky Guy' definitely gave me that feel of a cheeky playboy gambler which was a lot different from his other album 'Break Down'. I would give this album a 7 out of 10.

Girl's Generation - The Boys

So it was an anticipated wait for Girl's Generation new album 'The Boys' and with teasers being release making it look like it will become the next BIG hit ... so; I had high expectations for this album release. And as a result, the song 'Boys' really didn't reach that expectation. I mean, comparing this song and Brown Eyed Girl's Sixth Sense, Brown Eyed Girls would have definitely won because it shows power and it was obvious that once they release the song, it would make me watch over and over again. Whereas 'Boys' really didn't. The Korean version I didn't like much but the full English Version sounded better ... even though some of the English didn't make sense.

My favourite song at the moment on this album would be 'How Great Is Your Heart'. Most of the songs are like cute-sy and it was like all the other songs they released aka Gee, Genie, Mr Taxi etc ...  Overall; I would give this album a 7 out of 10.

One of my favorite songs to listen during the semester was Hollywood by JoJo.

Caught In The Crowd

We have been through it all .. being 'caught in the crowd'.

I personally have. Especially in high school. In high school, we all try to be apart of that social status. The "popularity status" and will do anything to avoid being apart of the "loser/ teacher's pet status". Because let's face it, who wants to be constantly bullied on and laughed at?

Kate Miller-Heidke's song "Caught in the crowd" truly expresses this situation. What I like about this song is that it tells a simple story about a girl (Kate) and how she didn't want to end up unpopular when a bunch of bullies harass her newly friend (James) [who, in my opinion, is either at the loser end of the status or don't really care about being popular] and how she is sorry for that moment and wishes that she could go back and instead of running away, she would help him.

It Has To Be You

SO one of my favourite OST would have to be 'It Has To Be You (너 아니면 안돼 )' from Super Junior Yesung for Cinderella's sister :)

The MV, to me, shows a different side of the story to the drama. Think it was from the point when Song Eun-jo leaves after hearing that Hong Ki-hoon left to join the army without telling her. Either way; I really enjoy listening to this song:

Oh yes; I managed to finish watching Drunken To Love You/ Love You last week :). It was one of those ongoing dramas, so unlike the other drama's I've watching completely in 4 days, I was only able to watch it like once a week :) To me, the drama was a bit dry in the middle and towards the end. But overall, I would give this drama a 7 out of 10.

What I like about some of the sites that I download music from is that sometimes I get the albums before they are ACTUALLY released to the world ^^.

AND as you maybe aware the latest album (to add to my collection of Asian music) is Kim Hyun Joong's album Break Down. The album consists of 6 songs (1x intro, 4 x songs and 1x instrumental version to please).

This album starts off as a R&B/ club type song and then leads to a soft mellow R&B the a hip hop beat (which I'm my opinion this beat is similar to Chris Brown's forever .. well the beginning that is) and then finishing back to a club dance music along with a instrumental/beat version to 'Please'.

The Kim Hyun Joong's new look also makes him look a lot more mature than his old hair cut *sobs* oh well :).

So here's a look see of his first song release (Please) and below (after that) is the most current MV to Break down. For some reason, watching the MV for 'Please' it reminds me of Rain (Bi) MV 'Love Song'
