Skin Care SALE? Yes Please!

Hi Everyone,

Wow it been such a long time since I last posted something on here ...
Anyways, today I decided to share some special info for all you beauty guru's out there.

At the moment Priceline (Australia) is having their 40% of all their skin care products for only today and tomorrow.

I was lucky enough to hear about this promo and decided to pop down to my local Priceline to pick up some skin care products that I am currently running low on.

I personally don't spend heaps on beauty or skin care products each month. I would say I would spend about $30 every 2 months (that is IF I remember to look after my skin everyday) OR $30 every 3 months.

Here are some of the products I brought and how much I saved on each on :)

Here's what I brought. The grand total was $24.58
Without the 40% discount I would of spent $40.96
(and yes! my favourite skin care is Biore)

The Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture is SPF15.
Cost: $13.99       Sale Price: $8.39
I only just recently started a toner/ moisturizer routine and started using the Neutrogena Moisture cause my skin tends to go dry during winter. After using the first bottle, I liked the result that it left on my skin so I decided to buy a another bottle in case the first ran out before I was able to buy another.

The Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub Deep Clean
Cost: $10.99     Sale Price: $6.60
You may have seen me mention this scrub in a post a few years ago. This just shows how I like using this scrub. It helps minimize my blemishes when they suddenly appear. The result isn't an instant result, but I can say that after using this scrub (when I feels clogged up) my skin feels as if it can breath again (if that makes sense)

The Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips
Cost: $6.99      Sale Price: $4.19

I don't always use these pore strips on a regular basis on my nose. I would say I use it once a month.

The Biore Triple Action Toner
Cost: $8.99    Sale Price: $5.39

Now that I started my "daily" toner and moisturizer routine, I noticed that my skin was getting less pimples and blemishes (after weeks and weeks of bad sleeping patterns and bad eating habits etc ....). If I didn't do my routine after skipping like 3 days straight I noticed my skin going back to its previous state (pimples and blemishes etc ..) This toner and the moisturizer (above) has helped my skin heaps :)

Retail Therapy time!

With exams over and few things popping up, I didn't really have time to go shopping much. So I decided that a day of shopping for myself was needed. So, a few days ago, I decided that retail therapy was needed for just me!

Below are a few things I brought

Since I've started working, I haven't really spent any of my income on myself. So here is a close and more detailed description of what I brought:

Black Flats from K-Mart:
Yes I brought another pair of these again. I brought these pair for $12.

Swisspers Cucumber travel wipes from Priceline.
I brought the travel wipes, just in case I needed to wipe off any messy make-up when I'm on the go.

Hot Option knits: Sleeve slub Henley in Olympic Blue and Black from Target.
I brought this top in 2 colours; Olympic Blue and Black. It was on sale from $20 to $14.
It's super comfy and is great for those hot summers in Perth T___T

Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner in Blackest Black from Priceline
As some maybe aware, I brought a Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner in my last vlog haul in Charcoal Charbon. I paid full price from that but the downside was that it has bits of glitter in it. So when this was in stock and on sale, I decided to buy it. The colour I got was Blackest Black. And OH MY! it is really black. I brought this one from $16.95 to $10

Revlon Colorstay Lipstick in 295 Satin Rosewood from K-Mart
If some of you havent been aware, this colour and lipstick has been my most adored and favourite lipstick to put on. I've been using this colour for about 5 years now. I don't know what you might think of the colour, but with my tanned skin, this colour just suits me the best. I was running out of my old one, so I needed to buy a new one. It was on sale from $24.95 to $15

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 030 Smitten and 045 Romantic from Priceline
I was really curious of this balm stain from Revlon. I heard really good reviews on it, along with the lip butters, so I decided to buy this rather than the lip butters. It is similar to the lip butters from Revlon, but has a lip stain effect.  I decided to go with the more darker colors because my skin is tanned and bright colours dont look good on my lips. Cant wait to open them and try them out. I brought the balm stains on sale for 'buy 1 get 1 free' promotion. I got 2 for $17.95 (1 balm stain is already $17.95)

I might do a review on some of the products I brought soon.
Til next time

Post exam hibernation

SO I decided to do a quick and random post before I enter exam hibernation. SO fashion isn't my strongest skill ... sadly ... but seeking cheap stuff is ... but then again I'm Asian, so it should be natural right?!?

I decided to do this post because it was interesting and fun. What I have done is basically took a photo (off the net) of a famous person and tried to find clothing and accessories that is similar and cheaper to re-create the same look. Also, it's a good excuse to go online shopping :D

The celebrity that I used is ... I think is Pipa Middleton ... I maybe wrong. For those who live in Australia, winter is approaching and I really liked this outfit.

The total cost of this outfit is $236. But then again I didn't go to all online shopping websites okkk. You may find something much cheaper.

The scarf was basically inspired by leopard printed scarves.
The boots can be any knee-high boots.
The pants I thought were skinny legged jeans BUT you can get way with wearing leggings.
The coat was inspired by the BIG opened collar and the same coloured belt.
The glasses where inspired by the rounded shaped sun glasses.

So until next time,

Gift Haul

Here are some of the things that I brought, whilst in Vietnam :) ... I roughly estimated the value of each product to AUD :)

Some couple/ singles key chains and phone chains
The angrybirds  phone chains cost 23.000đ ≈ $1.00 AUD
The couple key ring costs 30.000đ ≈ $1.30 AUD
The music phone chain costs 15.000đ ≈ $0.60 AUD
The four leaf clover phone chain costs 12.000đ ≈ $0.50 AUD

I brought this at a small retail store closer to home
The costs of this wallet is 105.000đ ≈ $5.00 AUD
For some reason I have an obsession for red wallets ... don't know why :S
One of my favourite shower product is the Enchanteur Whitening and Firming body scrub
and the Rejoice shampoo.
The 175g Enchanteur Whitening & Firming Body Scrub costs 40.000đ ≈ $1.50 AUD
The Rejoice shampoo (in the individual packs) costs 500đ ≈ $0.01 AUD
The Enchanteur range is one of the most popular products used for the body (along with Nivea).
The smell isn't powerful or anything, it is a light scented rose smell.

The Enchanteur perfume 'Charming' was brought from a local lady
The cost of the 25mL 'Charming' perfume costs 75.000đ ≈ $3.60 AUD
The perfume has a slightly stronger smell than the body scrub but the smell is exactly the same
Another perfume that I brought from her is 'Miss Saigon'
The cost of the 17mL perfume is 25.000đ ≈ $1.10 AUD This was one of the first perfumes that I brought. The label says it lasts for 12 hours, but in my opinion it
lasts more than that. It also has a 5 year expiry date too.

This is another product that I brought from the small retail store
The Lacvert Essance silky two way cake cost 120.000đ ≈ $5.50 AUD
I brought this silky two way cake because I recently used it for Christmas and the result was good.
You can get either this or the whitening two way cake in a black case.
The colour that I got was #21 Natural.

This here is a blusher.
 The blusher cost 30.000đ ≈ $1.30 AUD
The colour number is 08 and I think it's a Korean brand.
I recently used this product before hand, and the result was alright.
I found that the less you apply the less pink your cheeks will be.

My new pencil case :)
The pencil case cost 23.000đ ≈ $1.00 AUD
I needed a pencil case upgrade pronto :) and this was no exception

Destination Changi Airport - Singapore

SO my first stop in my 2.5 month holiday was Changi Airport in Singapore. It was a 5 hour flight from Perth International Airport to Singapore Changi Airport. Apparently, Singapore is one of the largest transiting airports to come to. With Sky-trains to built in environments and free internet access/ wifi within the airport, the entertainment here is endless.

So here are some pictures I took when I was waiting to board my final flight - Singapore Changi Airport to Hanoi Noi Bai Airport Vietnam.

The built in environment ... sooo pretty

Another built in environment

Got some money?
At the airport they basically have different stores are each terminal
so the endless possibility to products to buy :)

Got some free time? Go to the 2nd floor for some entertainment

So the 2nd floor is the entertainment deck.
So if you have more than 3 hours til your next flight and your sick of shopping
they have this special level built so you can entertain yourself.
entertainment such as - an upstairs cinema to console games

I've always wanted to be on a postage stamp :)
You really don't need to be famous to be on a postage stamp.
Here is a section in the terminal that allows you to make and print out your own
personalized postage stamp.

Hungry?
They also have a food court upstairs in level 2.

More shopping :)

DUTY FREE :):):)
STORY: So, I was purchasing some duty free here, and my god! the lady who
attended me was sooo goood. She was a small Asian lad, who
I think been working here for a long time, because
she knew like everything about me. Like she knew I was from
Australia and that I'm heading to Vietnam .... creepy!
but she was soo entertaining to talk to :)

What to do at Changi Airport ....

Here are some reason .....

Beauty Therapy #5: Blue Night Sky Nail Tutorial

I was inspired to do this very easy nail tutorial by Bubzbeauty. It is a simple tutorial which doesn't take long to complete :). I gives off a shimmering night sky look. In this tutorial you don't have to use just blue. You can apply this tutorial to any colour of your choice :)

First we begin applying a base coat to protect our nails. Then using a slightly darker blue we apply it using a cosmetic sponge at the tips of our nails. One coat should do, if not 2 coats :). By using a cosmetic sponge it gives of a thin coat. BUT you don't need to use a cosmetic sponge instead use the brush but swipe a majority of the paint off the brush.

Once that has dried, we add a lighter blue over the slightly darker blue. Same process.Don't worry if it looks messy. We can fix that up using a cotton bud dipped with nail polish remover :)

Using a cotton bud, dipped in nail polish remover, we swipe away any unnecessary marks. FINALLY, we add a glitter polish on top of the blue. I used a grey/ silver glitter nail polish. This makes it looks like the night sky. Once dried, use a clear nail polish to protect the paint from chipping off  :)

Instead of using a grey/ silver glitter nail polish, you may want to use a nail polish which is similar but has the stars inside them. :)
So until next time
Take care xx

Beauty Therapy #4: Cupcake Nail Tutorial

For this tutorial I have been inspired by Cupcakes :) Cupcakes now days have been used as a replacement for one whole birthday cake :) . Makes me what a cupcake birthday cake now for my up coming 21st :)

**PLEASE NOTE: I am limited to a certain number of colours because I don't paint my nails sooo often. Also, if you dont have the tall long nail polish bottles (shown below) then pouring some polishing onto plastic and using a toothpick does work too :D**

SO here are some colours that I shall be using. Feel free to use your own colours :) and have fun :)

First thing is to start with a base coat to protect your nails (which I haven't). Then start by painting on a small stroke across your nails. Kinda like a small rectangle, this will become the cupcake tin :). I used Blue and Red and switched each finger with a different colour.

Next is to paint sort of a circle (not a nice and neat one) on top of the small rectangle. This will become the cupcake itself. I didn't have a pastel pink on me so I used the Revlon Sheer Rose which isn't effective because it matches my actual nails =___=" ... oh its okk if you go over the cupcake tins. That will create an illusion of the cupcake :)

Next was optional; but I used a thin black nail brush (you can use a toothpick if you dont have one) and outlined the cupcake so it stand out a but more (and mainly because the Revlon wasnt dark enough). HAHA! I also did curves around the cupcake to give off the illusion that it is fluffy :)

This part is also optional; I used white and dotted two small circles on each of the cupcake to create the eyes.

Using the black but using a toothpick, I dotted in the eyes on top of the white. This creates a cute and cartoon-y effect. I also used the other side of the toothpick and used pink polish and drew in a U shape to create the smile :)

I added silver glitter nail polish at the bottom of the tin to make it glittery and shiny.

And here is my end result. Make sure you apply a clear coat of nail polish to prevent any chipping :)

So overall, you can paint you nails before hand before doing this tutorial. I didn't because I prefer blogging a tutorial with just plain nails so you guys can see what it looks like without any colours.

Until next time,
Take Care xx

Beauty Therapy #3: Christmas Nail Tutorial

With Christmas just around the corner; I thought I might do a Christmas inspired nail Tutorial :)

This tutorial is very simple and all it involves is just a bit of creativity and fun :)
PLEASE NOTE: I am really sorry if the images aren't clear :) and I didn't take step by step photos cause once I got into doing the designs I totally forgot T__T"
ALSO: You can do this tutorial with a friend :) that way you can help each other out [if you dont think you have a steady hand to draw on your right hand using your left hand]

Below are some of the colours that I will be using. AGAIN; I'm only limited to a certain number of colours. ALSO you don't need to have these type of nail polish bottles. You can also use the normal bottles (just pour some out onto plastic and use a toothpick to do the details)

OK, the first step (below) was I painted the tips of my nails in white. I did this cause I wanted to have a snow type look on my nails which reminds me of Christmas.

The next steps; (sorry I didn't take much photos) was to draw individually what reminds me of Christmas.
As shown below; each finger has a picture of what Christmas is :)
My thumb (which isn't shown but is in the other photos further down) was a candy cane, then my fingers where, presents, a snowman, cherries and a Christmas Tree. How to draw each of these are shown below (in BOLD):
CANDY CANE: I started drawing a thick hook/ cane. Then I allowed it to dry. The using while nail polish I drew in lines on an angle. Then I allowed it to dry again before using the black to outline the candy cane. To make it stand out and to define it

PRESENT: basically; I drew a square using the blue polish. I allowed it to dry. Then used the pink polish and drew a 'plus + sign' on the blue and a V on top (to create a bow)

SNOWMAN: I drew 2 circles using the white. One big and one small. I allowed it to dry before tracing around it using the black. I drew a small red square on the small white circle then allowed it to dry again. Then used the black again to out line the red small square and drew a line between the small white circle and the red square creating a red hat. As for the buttons on the snowman I used the black and also drew in some branches.

CHERRIES: I began drawing two red circles and a green one next to each other. Once they where dried; I used the black to outline the red circles as individual cherries and drew a V on an angel on the green creating a branch between the two cherries.

CHRISTMAS TREE: I drew a triangle the allowed that to dry. Using the black I outlined the tree. As the black was drying I used the red and put in small dots. Making it look like small Christmas Tree decorations.

The final look to this tutorial :) [below]

As you can see, I started using the basic Christmas colours; Green, Red and White. But I decided to change that when I drew in the present. I wanted to show you guys that you didn't really need to use a set of one colour for this tutorial. Instead use different colours to create a wonderful Christmas.

And remember; don't limit yourself to just these pictures I drew. Why not draw something else that reminds you of Christmas.

So, Merry Christmas
and until next time;
Have a fun and safe Christmas
