About miss.phuong:
miss.phuong was born in Perth, Western Australia in 1991. She was the first person in both her parent's family tree to be born outside of Vietnam and into Australia. Her nationality is Australia/ Vietnamese. Vietnamese is her first language and English is her second. Because English was her second language, she struggled a lot learning English. However, that didn't stop her. She persevered and managed to get her first poem published in 2007, in a local newspaper. During her schooling days, she was recognised by many teachers as
having an creative mind. She expressed this through her art work and
also her short stories. Her imagination and creativity kept her going.
That same year, she was selected to participate in a CSIRO research scheme with a forensic professor at Curtin University and to conduct a research. The research that she conducted was to make ladies lipsticks to fluoresce under UV lighting. This was the first time she managed to get her name published in a book. This sparked the love for forensics.
Her career path took many twist and turns. Her first goal was to become a barrister or criminologist. However, she decided to study business because both her father and older sister had their own self-employed businesses. Therefore it became natural that she would study business. Right now, miss.phuong has just completed her undergraduate degree in Commerce majoring in Human Resource Management with minors in Business Law, Management and International Business at Curtin University.
Whilst studying at Curtin, miss.phuong has challenged her career and degree by entering various competitions that where outside of her major. Even though they were mainly aimed at students in a certain discipline, that didn't stop her. She entered and won a few competitions along the way. To her, it demonstrated that 'there is more to a degree than meets the eye' and by perseverance, she kept going. Through her perseverance, she was able to achieve and meet various mentors. Some ranging from company delegates to CEO's to even the Mayor of Perth.
At the moment miss.phuong is now studying a post graduate masters degree and working full time for her current 2 jobs. What's next for miss.phuong is uncertain, but all she knows is to live life to its fullest and grasp any opportunity that rises.

Story behind miss.phuong's name.
There is a reason why I chose to write my username as 'miss.phuong' and not like 'Miss.Phuong'. I chose to write my name is a lower case because it reflects who I am. I'm like a small fish in a big world.
My name derived a few years ago when I was holidaying in Vietnam in 2008. I met a priest who wanted to expand his English knowledge and used the formal way of talking to others as Mr and Mrs. One day, I came to visit him, and he walked up to me and said 'Hello Miss Phuong'. I asked him why did he call me that, instead of Phuong. He replied, isn't that how you call people, formally. I replied 'yes' but you generally use their surname and not their first name. Long story short, after that morning and from now on, he calls me miss.phuong. So as a result, I adopted that name.
