You did the crime; You do the time

It's kinda ironic that the old saying "you did the crime, you do the time" and yet you have to be the one that do the time for someone else's crime.

I will admit, my crime was speeding over the speed limit in a school zone area. And of course, I had to be the one that had to pay the time. Which was a $300 fee and 3 demerit points taken. SO, I had to work a 2 day shift (a total of 21 hours) to pay off my speeding fine (which was enough) because it was MY crime. But being forced to do someone else's crime is pretty ironic even if your the only 'escape goat' for them.

It's kinda like being blamed for something that you didn't do because you were there at the 'scene of the crime'. But no matter how you argue, they always seem to suspect you.

So my question is: Have you ever been in a situation where you didn't really do the crime, but you are the only 'escape goat' for that person?
